PRESS RELEASE

Ideal Manufacturing & Sales Corp. Acquires Assets of Neupak, Inc.

Madison, WI - Steve Bethke, President & CEO of Ideal Mfg. & Sales Corp. wishes to announce that a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company, Crystal City, LLC, has acquired the assets of Neupak, Inc. from the American Bank of St. Paul, MN on December 30, 2004.

Neupak, Inc. of St. Paul, MN had used the acquired assets to supply liquid filling equipment, case packers, container denesting equipment, robotic palletizers and conveyor systems to the food processing, paint and coatings, chemical, biomedical, pharmaceutical, household products, personal care, and petroleum industries.

Ideal will continue to manufacture and sell products formerly offered by Neupak, Inc. as Neupak Division.  Through the subsidiary, Ideal is now the legal owner of all Neupak drawings, manuals and engineering project files, uniquely positioning Ideal to provide parts and service to all customers with Neupak machines.  This acquisition includes the “Flush-Fill” Filling System, (U.S. Patent #5,505,233, #5,823,406), along with Ideal’s “Connection Free” Fill Cart, (U.S. Patent #6,595,250), positioning Ideal as the exclusive provider of either filling systems.

Ideal has been in business since 1949 and offers a complete line of packaging machinery that provides the latest in technology, convenience, and efficiency for the liquid filling and packaging industry.   Ideal expanded in 1987 when the company acquired Fricke Industries, manufacturers of filling equipment.  Increased sales and production allowed Ideal to design and build its brand new state of the art facility in 2001, which is located at 4607 Dovetail Drive in Madison, WI.  In January of 2004, Ideal continued to expand when it acquired Machine Works, Inc., a manufacturer of web converting equipment.  Ideal features a state of the art machine shop and assembly facility, plus engineering and administrative offices which allow them to maintain the high level of quality that goes in every step they take to design and build their products.  Quick shipment of replacement parts and components is another benefit that Ideal’s customers receive from all of these operations being under one roof.  Technicians and engineers are available by telephone to answer all types of service related questions.

Neupak Division will now be located at 4607 Dovetail Drive, Madison, WI  53704, and may be contacted by calling 800-383-1128 or 608-241-1118.  They may also be reached by fax at 608-241-4448.  Visit us at www.neupak.com or email at info@neupak.com.
